The Way the Cookie Crumbles

Cannot believe that Maria is having a baby any minute! (Or day!) I am so beyond excited for you and Kev and can't wait to see pictures of the little girl/guy. Any thoughts of what the sex of the baby is?

It's so crazy that we're at the point in our lives where it's normal for friends to be having babies and to be getting married left and right. Sometimes I can't believe I am at this point in my life, and other times it feels like I've been here for a lot longer than I really have.

I hope everyone is doing well! I feel out of the loop in most of your lives lately. Distance does make it more challlenging to keep in touch and have the same close relationships as before. I have some big life changes msyelf that I wanted to share.

I gave my notice at my job. I'll definitely miss the job and the people, but it feels like it's time to move on and I feel like I owe it to myself to try out new things and take a chance on life. I'm looking into job opportunities in Lexington, full-time, part-time, marketing & hr related, and everything else under the sun as well. I'm not sure what direction I'm going in just yet, but I am working on starting my own side business. I'm not at the point where I want to commit to it full-time, but hopefully after I gain some experience I'll be able to do that one day.

I'm still in the beginning stages of starting everything with my business, but I'm hoping you'll be my fans and help me in this process!

I have the shell of my website (organizedesignbylpj.com) but there is still a lot more to ponder on before I can finish it and Pat is in the process of helping me with my logo as well. In the meantime, I'm tweeting and working on my facebook fan page in order to build "credibility" so to speak. I don't want to get to the point where I have real clients, and  they check out my Twitter and see that I've posted one thing or don't have any fans on facebook!

I'm also putting my "portfolio" together and will be working on honing my processes and consultation methods with family and friends. There's lots to do with the new business, transitioning from my job at Resource, and looking for new opportunities in Lexington, but it's always good to be busy!

While it's a little bit of a scary place to be, I hope this also causes you to reflect on your own lives and your happiness. I just can't wait to see how the pieces fall, how the cookie crumbles etc. for me! You just never know what life has in store for you.

Hope all of you are fabulous and are enjoying the summer weather. It's hot and steamy here in Lexington phew! Alex's family is in town this upcoming weekend so have to go mulch! Ah the joys of home ownership!
