House Reminders

I have a couple of reminders for everyone:

1. Please complete a change of address form with the post office so you can start getting your own mail.

2. Make sure you leave your keys behind once you've been to the house for the last time (or I am sure you can send them to John).

3. Please cancel your bills if at all possible, or make sure you get them squared away with the new girls. (I just canceled our recycling, but I'm not sure about canceling the electric?)

I love blogging!

Hey everybody!

I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the blogs everyone has posted, even if I haven't been good about posting them myself!

Life is good in Albany, it's back to pretty much raining everyday but Kev and I have managed a couple of cookouts at Washington Park (with our new corn hole set, which is of course a huge hit). Work is stressful and full of insanity, but I like having a job... I have a day off today and it's equally as stressful to think about all the things I have to get done outside of work.

Lauren, you've been in my thoughts because I know you are probably going through the same reorganizing that I am. I hope the move in is going well, I know it can be exhausting, but I'm sure the new house is so cute and perfect with your finishing touches.

Kev and I got offered Coldplay tickets from some friends of ours in Albany so we are going tonight, although the concert is outside and it's pouring out. So that should hopefully be fun. Maria J I will of course call you if they play yellow. And Amy this makes me think of you because I think in one of the first emails we ever wrote to each other you were on your way to a Coldplay concert.

LC, I have been scoping out all the Mexican resturaunts in the area to find the best veggie dishes and the cheapest XX amber. I want all the leverage I can get so you all will visit me.

Kev and I also recently got our hands on a wii fit which I spent the morning playing and am exhausted. The readings are a little embarrassing, but I wish I could've had this while we were all at the house. I think Erin and Lauren would especially love it. Erin, there's not really any buttons to press, you just flop around like a fool, or at least I do. As much fun as I had with it this morning I think it would've been tenfold if you were here making me laugh at what a dork I am.

Amy, Kev and I are trying to find time to fit the movie into our weird schedule, but he was pumped at your choice and I am too. As soon as we see it I will let you know!

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer months and gets to see each other when they have the chance. I am already planning on having our reunion next summer, maybe for Maria's graduation, or on Erin's boat with our flippy-floppies, or at Amy's new house, or Lauren's pool, or LC's loft in Tibet as she studies to reach the ultimate level of karma through the art of yoga. Whatever we decide to do I am saving up my days off and my laughter.

Labor Day Weekend

Hey guys,

I have an invitation for you all...

I don't know what everyone has planned for Labor Day weekend but if anyone is free, you are welcome to come down to Ryland. I'm not sure what day or anything yet. John will definitely be home that weekend and will be here Saturday to watch the Ohio State football game for sure. It's only 30 minutes from all you Cincinnati people but if you wanted to stay over night you could too. There's golf, volleyball, swimming, boating, hot tubbing, drinking, eating etc, available :) Significant others would of course be welcome too, since mine will be here too!!!! Anyway, I would love to show you all around down here and my family would be happy to have you all. Let me know whenever. It can definitely be a low key, last minute thing but I thought I'd just mention it now! Love and miss you all :)

I'll definitely be there next weekend! I think I'm coming the last weekend in August too, to move out my stuff and clean, etc. I'll have to check with my parents for sure, but I know the weekend before that I will be in California. The Feckers invited me to come out with them. So, we are leaving the 19th and getting back Monday the 24th. Anna and Tim are coming too, so that will be an interesting weekend but at least I will get to see John! Hope everyones jobs and job hunting are going well. Talk to you soon!

Also..... next weekend (July 31st, August 1 & 2) is the Dublin Irish Festival!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone interested?

Why hello again...

I don't know about the rest of you, but my life has absolutely been flying by lately! Lots of traveling recently and lots of working. Work has been challenging, but I thrive on it. It was so great to see everyone the wedding. Maria-I truly hope that it was everything that you and Kev wanted it to be. It definitely reflected both of your personalities. It all felt very surreal! It was like I couldn't believe you were actually getting married. It seemed like we'd been talking about it for so long and then suddenly it was there. Everything was beautiful. I cannot wait for the rest of you to post your pictures hahaha.

Speaking of picture posting... I really wanted to post a picture of the plant in our front yard. The really tall gangly one by the stairs now has beautiful little white flowers. Maybe I will still get around to it. Other house updates--the back door doesn't like to open recently, somebody stole our recycling bin and LC and I have mice in our room. She saw one and I HEARD one and saw evidence.... Maybe that is why my room has been smelling funny? I sincerely hope that as I am moving things out I do not find a dead one. I have slowly but surely been moving my stuff down to German Village. My parents are in town this weekend (on their way back from a wedding in Minnesota) so I think they're going to help me get all the small stuff down there and then next weekend will be Alex's bed. He is giving it to me so he doesn't have to move it and so I don't have to move my big one from Cincinnati. I am really excited to take you girls down there and show you the house. You will all love it! If any of you are able you should really think about coming for the August 1st gallery hop. Also we need to pick a weekend for later in August to move out the rest of the stuff and do a SUPER clean sweep.

I hope everyone has been doing well... I miss you all. While last weekend was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful opportunity to see everyone it wasn't the same as hanging out at the house all together ; ) Last night I went to a wine tasting and thought of you all.. Unfortunately work calls right now.. I probably could've gone on and on but I will talk to you all so soon.

Idea for July

Thanks MJ! I kept forgetting to post an idea for July! I know it's kind of late now but I can still post one if people want... I know people are busy but John and I saw the Hangover in California because we had just gone to Las Vegas. It's absolutely hilarious and I think everyone should see it. Everyone needs a good laugh :) If you don't have time/money I understand, so this one doesn't have to be "required" haha. Sorry for slacking guys!! Hope all is well. Have fun on vacation MJ!!
